Draw your own treasure map
A proper map, aged with a teabag, with an X that leads somewhere genuinely worth going — like the biscuit tin.
What to do
- 1
Tear the edges of the paper roughly rather than cutting them — torn edges look far older.
- 2
Dab the cooled teabag over the paper until it is patchy brown. Do not soak it.
- 3
Lay it flat on a baking tray and leave it somewhere warm for about twenty minutes.
- 4
Draw your map on the dry paper. Landmarks first, path second, X last.
- 5
Hide something at the X. Let somebody else follow it.
